How to trap mice,
mouse trapping?

Appelez-nous

A variety of traps can be purchased at most hardware stores and exterminator shops. the two most commonly used types of traps are jaw traps, pressure-button traps and glue panel traps.

Ratchet traps use a trigger and a bar or jaw to catch and kill the rodent.

It can also be effective to place an attractive on the traps without fixing them for a while, thus introducing rodents into traps without alerting them to danger.

Glue boards use sticky glue to trap mice as they try to get through it.

Trapping mice

requires a lot of work on the part of the owner. From setting traps to disposing of captured specimens, the process can be daunting, messy and disturbing.

Professional methods of extermination will be necessary from the moment a colony is present in the house and the individuals are numerous.

Animal Alert is is mouse exterminator since 2010, its methods are proven, effective and guaranteed.

Classic carabiner traps are commonly used to kill mice inside homes. For best results, these traps must be placed close to the walls, with the trigger trays facing the wall.

Glue panels can also be effective. If placed correctly, the mice should be stuck in the glue and unable to free themselves. Eventually, the mice die of hypothermia.

Zapper traps mice in compartments before delivering a deadly electric shock. Zappers are more expensive than the other two traps and require the use of batteries.

Hantavirus, definition and mode of transmission

Hantavirus is a severe lung syndrome caused by a virus. It is secreted in the urine, feces and saliva of infected animals. Most often these are rodents. When humans come into direct or indirect contact with these secretions, the virus is transmitted to them. Ditto when they are bitten by infected rodents.

However, the virus is not transmitted from human to human, only from animal to human. This type of disease is called zoonoses because they can only be transmitted to humans through an animal. It has been found that domestic animals (apart from the domestic rat) and livestock cannot contract hantavirus so there is every reason to believe that only rodents can carry it.

Symptoms of hantavirus

Being a lung disease, one of the characteristic symptoms of hantavirus is difficulty breathing. At the beginning of the disease, the infected person begins to feel fever, chills, headache and muscle pain.

It is about two weeks after the appearance of the first symptoms that they are usually accompanied by a feeling of shortness of breath. Nevertheless, this last manifestation of the disease can be observed after two days as after six weeks; it depends on the organism of the individual.

Hantavirus can also lead to kidney disease or infection. And although they are rare and very few people are prone to them, there is currently no treatment to combat these ailments. It is therefore better to be careful not to contract them.

Appats and foods

Although homeowners may consider bait, they are not recommended for indoor use by homeowners.

Rodent bait can be toxic to humans and pets and can be unknowingly ingested by young children if not applied correctly and according to the label. Severe infestations require the professional services of pest management experts.
