Carpet attogen<\/strong> is a minor insect pest<\/a> in the dermestid<\/strong>family. Adult <\/strong>it has some resemblance to the ladybug. It measures 2.8mm to 5mm with an oval shape and its dark brown or black color.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adults feed on nectar and pollen. They are able to fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The larvae are cylindrical golden brown in color. Their head and paws are well developed. When they become mature, they measure between 6mm and 15mm in length.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hantavirus, definition and mode of transmission<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Hantavirus is a severe lung syndrome caused by a virus. It is secreted in the urine, feces and saliva of infected animals. Most often these are rodents. When humans come into direct or indirect contact with these secretions, the virus is transmitted to them. Ditto when they are bitten by infected rodents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the virus is not transmitted from human to human, only from animal to human. This type of disease is called zoonoses because they can only be transmitted to humans through an animal. Being a lung disease, one of the characteristic symptoms of hantavirus is difficulty breathing. At the beginning of the disease, the infected person begins to feel fever, chills, headache and muscle pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is about two weeks after the appearance of the first symptoms that they are usually accompanied by a feeling of shortness of breath. Nevertheless, this last manifestation of the disease can be observed after two days as after six weeks; it depends on the organism of the individual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carpet attagena develops inside houses. The insect reproduces at a temperature of 15-30 \u00b0 C. The female lays 50-100 eggs at the foot of the walls, behind the skirting boards, in the attic, in cracks and feces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eggs hatch three weeks later and in wet conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The larva has a lifespan of 1-2 years. The larval stage lasts from 258 days to 639 days and the larva will metamorphose up to 20 times depending on the conditions of humidity and temperature. His last envelope serves as his cocoon. It takes him 6 to 24 days to become an adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adults live from 14 to 40 days. on average 28 days for the adult male and 36 for the female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
